A few years ago I bought him a very expensive Braun razor but he likes these razors better and they last. The Braun lasted maybe two years before it died. I have had this shaver now for about 3 years, and it has been good. Thiry dollars to start, and the battery is holding up well. It does a fair job at shaving. I am replacing the foil after 3 years, not a bad life as well. Honestly I have got what I have wanted out of it. If you expect the perfect shave, then you may want to get a higher model, but for the guy that alternates once in a while to electric bexause of the hastle of razor shaving, then this works well.

OK, the other reviewers weren't so kind to the DA 307 model Remington Microscreen 2. I have used this razor for over a year and a half and have never had any problems. Granted, I am one of the lucky people that do not have extra-thick beards. It takes me well over 24 hours to get a decent "5 o'clock" shadow (and I am a 38 year-old Caucasian male). It has always provided me with a close, comfortable shave - not at all like the others here describe. I used to use Wahl electric shavers exclusively. This one made me 'convert' to Remington.... I am currently in the market for a replacement screen (the original one has lasted me this long) - and it's cheaper (on ebay) to buy a whole new razor than to buy a new screen.

After 30 plus years of shaving this has to be the worst razor I have owned. It takes several passes to get a reasonalbe cut, but it still leaves anything tall to be cut with the trimmer. Don't waste your money on this one.

This is the worst electric razor I've ever bought. I don't have sensitive skin but it still nicks my skin. The directions tell you NOT to use it on your underarms. I now know why, it will kill you. I can't even shave my thighs with it without getting cuts. The only place I can use it is from my knees to my ankles. I definately would not recommend this razor.

Works very well. As with other electric shavers does not cut as close as a real razor. Since my leg hair does not grow in a uniform direction this shaver works much better for me than other types I have owned. As for underarms and other areas, the instructions specifically state that it is NOT recommended for use other than legs.

I got this because the rotary razors have always seemed to me like they'd deliver a smoother shave (being multi-directional). However, after 2-3 months of using it, I've decided it's pretty much useless for me. The shave is not any smoother than a normal electric shaver. Also, I've never had razor burn from any razor before, but this one gives me nasty burns on my armpits every time I use it there.



The real death knell for this shaver for me is that it takes many passes of it to shave my legs completely. My hair is fine, thin, and light colored, so I don't have to shave often, but when I do, I want it to go efficiently. The only pleasant part is that it feels a bit like a massager on my legs.



Overall, I can't recommend this razor. It's possible that it just does better on a different hair type than mine, but if you have fine/soft leg hair, skip this razor.

This is a great razor. It says wet and dry, but for me it works better dry. I shave my legs, underarms and *ahem*....the bikini area, no problem, the razor still is sharp shaves well after 5 years..and counting!!

It has two levels to adjust to get how far you want to shave. I purchased mine through Walmart years ago, they don't have it now. Amazon is the place to go!!! It comes with a rechargeable plug in, the charge last awhile, make sure you have a really good charge, or it will pull the hair, also comes with travel bag, bottom line------> Ladies, it's a wonderful must BUY PRODUCT!!!!

This is the third time in 6 years I bought this shaver because I like it (eventually the rechargeable battery wears out, and it's cheaper to buy a new shaver then replace the battery). I don't mind spending $20-$30 every 2-3 years to buy a new one. It's reliable, portable, and it does the job. I have really thick black hair on my legs, and this shaver works well with it even when the hair gets longer. I mostly use it dry, but it can be used in the shower as well. Consumer Reports says that all womens shavers they tested perform poorly compared to mens shavers, and there is no reason why a woman could not use a men's shaver, but good men's shavers cost 3 times more than this Remington, so I stick with it.

I can use regular ladies' razors, but I do often get itchy and/or bumpy skin afterward. The gold foil on this really does the trick for me on my legs. It's never given me any rash or itchiness. The shave feels smooth. The shave doesn't last as long but I love this razor because of its gentleness.



I even bought one for a family member as a present.

I purchased this razor based on the great reviews that other customers gave it and the fact that I'm tired of constantly having to change razor blades in my manual all of the time. So I gave this one a shot. I was really excited to give this a try that as soon as it was charged, I got right out of bed and turned it on. It wasn't really loud like I expected, and it was great to get such a close shave so quickly. However, this close shave only lasted for about an hour or two and I could feel stubble on my legs. I thought that maybe my legs just needed to get used to shaving with something new, so I kept at it for a week with the same results:close shave for only a little while. I guess my legs are just different. This would be great for those of you whose hair doesn't grow back quickly, and if it does, don't mind shaving every waking minute.

I bought this razor after reading a ton of reviews. Most of them were encouraging so I went ahead. My previous razor was awful...it wouldn't hold a charge long enough to get both legs done! This razor has held a charge for TWO full shavings without even being recharged between uses! I love it! One reviewer suggested using a circular motion when shaving legs. I agree; it work's best since the hair grows in different directions. It's a comfortable shave, easy to clean and gives a smooth finish. I did get a very slight rash after the first use, but nothing since. I only use this on my legs, so can't speak to anywhere else. I also have not tried it wet. It works great dry, but I do need to moisturize afterwards. Well worth the money!

I used the razor for about 3 weeks. Found it excessively noisy. It shaved OK but missed longer hair if I missed a day shaving. I sent it back and went back to a mid-range Norelco (much quieter, better if I miss a day shaving, altho more costly).

I was very happy with this razor, for a short time.



The cadmium battery that comes with the charger has a very limited useful life.

Cadmium batteries, for those who do not know, have a "memory".

Unlike Nickel Metal Hydride batteries, the Cadmium batteries do not charge back to 100% and will continually decrease its charge capabilities over time.



My razor did not make it past the 6 month mark. I will charge it for days, and it will feel like the battery is charged at about 20%. 20% power does not effectively work.



Do Not Buy! Get a corded razor, or one with a Nickel Metal Hydride battery.

I've been using a razor for most of my life, with the exception of about a year of using a rotary in my teens. Like many men, I can't stand shaving, so I thought I'd try this shaver as it had good reviews. I've been using this for about three months, and now I'd like to review it.



I don't have a thick beard but it grows pretty quickly, and I found I had to go from shaving every other day to using this shaver daily. I also have curly hair, so I'm not sure that makes a difference.



The shaver does a very good job of quickly cutting the hair on my face. Unfortunately, it does a terrible, terrible job around the neck. When it's fresh off the charger and has plenty of power, it can get most of the hair, but usually it leaves dozens of tiny little hairs that need to be trimmed down. Then it gives terrible irritation as I try to get the remaining hairs. I have tried different directions, little circles, holding it upside down, pulling the skin, pushing hard, barely touching, and it's always a terrible job on the neck.



I found it helps to either pat my face or the foil with baby powder, as that makes the shaving go much smoother. Lectric Shave didn't do anything for me good or bad. And if I go more than a few days without charging, it slows down and does a worse job.



I tried shaving with a blade again but that caused a lot of irritation. Overall, I liked the shave on the face but not on the neck. Unfortunately, I tossed the box so I wasn't able to return this, but I just picked up a Norelco rotary to see how I like it in comparison. It has some larger slots that should get the longer hairs so hopefully that works better.
